| 英文描述 | Keratinopathogenic fungi are those that can invade and damage the human nail plate. A survey was done of horses with hoof lesions such as poor horn quality, cracks, white line disease, brittleness, parakeratosis and bruising. Horses with such lesions had a higher prevalence of keratinopathogenic fungi than horses with healthy hoof horn. While isolation of such agents and interpretation of the findings are yet to be standardized, fungi of the keratinopathogenic group may contribute to hoof lesions. Such a hoof horn disease resembles onychomycosis in other species. |
